In order to complete the Notice of Intended Marriage, (which must be lodged with me a minimum of one calendar month prior to your wedding) – I will need to see the following:
Your birth certificates (originals not photocopies)
A foreign (NOT Australian) passport is acceptable if you were born overseas and your birth certificate is not available. This passport is acceptable if it is current or lapsed – but not cancelled.
Divorce or the Death Certificate – if either of you has been married before
NB. All documents in a foreign language must be translated into English by an approved translator. (I can help you with this).
If either party is under 18 years of age, both a Court order and parent’s consent are required. Under no circumstances may two people under the age of 18 years marry each other.
A very big thank you from Andrew and I for making our wedding ceremony so special! We had an absolutely magical wedding and we've received countless comments from our guests about how romantic and beautiful our ceremony was. It really helped meeting with you the day before to rehearse with our bridal party and my parents and it was particularly helpful for us to run through our full ceremony with you prior to our big day. We also received our marriage certificate this week as well. So, thank you for all of your help and support and for guiding us through our ceremony so well!
Thank you so much for everything you did to help make our wedding the joyous, profound event it was. You gave us a clear framework for our marriage ceremony, and offered us options and ideas for tailoring it to our own circumstances and wishes. You kept the ceremony on track and flowing smoothly, without ever seeming to do so. Our wedding was a little unusual, in that we are a same sex couple, and that we have already been together for 35 years. We really appreciated your sensitivity in helping us craft a ceremony that respected and celebrated our own story. Mhairi, for us you were the perfect celebrant, and we are so grateful to you. With our very best wishes and grateful thanks.
Thank you Mhairi for all you contributed to our wedding. It was a truly magical day which we will treasure forever. Thank you for being our celebrant and guiding us so professionally and personally with our vows and our whole ceremony.
I just wanted to say thank you for being a part of our wedding day. You were so wonderful to work with and we had so many comments on how lovely the ceremony was. Thank you so much for all your help in preparing us for the day. We loved every minute of it and are so glad we chose you to marry us. Thanks again.
I just wanted to say a huge Thank you. I assumed you would stay after the ceremony but I couldn't find you after the photos and Jacob said you had wanted to head off Thank you so much for making our day possible and for your kindness As you probably noticed there is a bit of tension between the two families one being strict catholic and the other atheist You were absolutely brilliant - I can't thank you enough for dealing with us all and collaborating all the different parts of the ceremony Thank you for our ceremony booklet it is just beautiful I will definitely keep your card and contact you if we have any other celebrations in the future - We had a beautiful wedding - a beautiful day and a beautiful experience Thank you Mhairi.
We just wanted to say thank you so much for the absolutely beautiful ceremony that you put together for our wedding. Everything about it was perfect and we wouldn't have changed one single thing. I've never been to a wedding that was so personal and meaningful and feel absolutely blessed that our wedding was just that. Thank you for including Lily in the ceremony the way that you did. She told us afterwards that she couldn't stop crying because she was just so happy. I know exactly how she feels, we're still on such a high. Thanks again Mhairi, you were amazing.
We just wanted to say a quick thank you from the bottom of our hearts!!!! Our wedding was perfect in every single way. Thank you for everything you've done for us. I know that our ceremony was lovely because of all your effort and energy. There's no one else that could have done a better job.
Raef and I would just like to extend a huge THANK YOU for the beautiful ceremony you performed for our wedding, exactly one month ago today! Not only did you help us create the perfect vows, but you also did such a wonderful job as settling our guests and making sure everything ran smoothly. I don’t think the day would have been of what it was without your help and guidance throughout the whole process. Also a big thank you for taking care of all the legal stuff too. The ceremony was everything we had hoped for (and more) and was the perfect way to initiate our married life – your ideas folder and your openness to our own ideas ensured the ceremony was exactly what we wanted.
Thank you for everything you've done. You did an amazing job and we are both so happy, so thank you from the bottom of our hearts. We will be sure to call you for our Naming Day day. Thanks Mhairi.
